Media Engagement Project

To support the acquisition of 3D printers & the 2018 Houghton Mifflin Harcourt series which includes the New Generation of Science Standards that will provide opportunities for students in the Mary Duden Science Lab and in the new STEAM program.

For general operating support over 2 years (2017-18 and 2018-19) to continue providing food pantry and home delivered meals services, and the Emergency Services program aiding neighbors in need throughout the year.

For support over 2 years (2018-19 & 2019-20) for Camp Mariposa, a free weekend camp for youth 9-12 years old with addiction in their families. Additional program services exist for those who age out of camp, their siblings, parents, and caregivers.

To expand the after school programming to two additional Independent Mission Schools so that more girls can become healthy, confident leaders.

To turn the Hicks Residence into a "Secure Dementia Care Unit" as established by PA guidelines that will minimize the risk to individuals who have a tendency to wander by giving them a secure environment both indoors and outdoors

For support towards providing daily meals to individuals seeking shelter at Covenant House. Three meals are provided Monday thru Friday with brunch and dinner served on weekends.

To purchase technical equipment that will allow them to continue to offer support and opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities to participate in performing arts activities

To support the 2018 Philadelphia Intellectual Retreat, an educational event that will bring together friends, subscribers, and others that are interested in theological, political, and cultural questions.

To support the 2018 Delaware Valley Coat Program which provides brand new winter coats to underprivileged school-aged children, helping to improve self-confidence, peer acceptance, school attendance, and overall wellness.

Support for 15 at-risk and underserved children from Pennsylvania and Camden to participate as Rising Young Artist Scholars at the Appel Farm Arts Camp 2018, a 4 week intensive art camp.

To support the installation of a security system that includes controlled access and video surveillance in the Family Learning Center in an effort to protect the children and the state-of-the-art equipment.

To fund a Technology Lab by purchasing new hardware and software for the two existing outdated computer labs in the School

For support over 2 years (2018-19 and 2019-20) towards the Senior Congregate Meal program providing affordable, nutritious meals to low-income, food insecure seniors in Northeast Philadelphia, Bucks and Montgomery counties.

To support the Safe Families program that provides resources and safety to Asian immigrant and refugee survivors of domestic violence, and raises awareness of the issue in the community.

To fund the renovation of the current computer lab into a new technology center for residents who are in need of access to email, networking, medical and benefits information, and online job and housing resources.

To support the relocation of Saint Katharine Drexel's tomb and sacred remains from the Motherhouse of the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament in Bensalem, PA., to the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Philadelphia.

To fund the completion of the new Performing and Visual Arts Center "Teatro Esperanza," a 280 seat venue for the Latino community, as part of the Hunting Park expansion project.

For general operating support over 2 years (2018-19 and 2019-20) to continue providing a safe, supportive, therapeutic, and educational camp program that is free to HIV/AIDS impacted youth in Philadelphia and surrounding counties

For support over 2 yrs (2018-19 & 2019-20) of "Engaging Minds Through Art" an educational outreach program for students in grades 4 to 6 from West & NE Phila public & parochial schools to participate in a gallery tour, storytelling, & hands-on artmaking.

For general operating support over 2 years (2018-19 and 2019-20) to continue providing programs and support services to teenage parents and to grow the work throughout the Delaware Valley.

For general operating support over 2 yrs to expand adoption programs, sustain Chatbots, redesign their website, replace computers, create more Match events, and for advanced technology to help parents respond to their children's troublesome behaviors.

To provide general operating support and funding for the Health and Wellness program that includes Case Management to screen and enroll 100 individuals for benefits.

To expand the second year of the Prison to Workforce Collaborative pilot program and set the stage for the long-term Reentry and Workforce Development Program to be launched in November 2019.

To expand access to collections for underserved audiences by specifically increasing the engagement of youth with disabilities and extending available subsidized school visits to low-income students who are unable to participate in CAP.

Support for the School Choice Saves! project to continue increasing awareness of Pennsylvania's school choice tax programs among Philadelphia-area entrepreneurs and develop sound policy ideas to advance school choice.

For general operating support over 2 years to continue providing transitional housing and case management services to low-income single mothers, ages 18 and over, and their children, ages 0 to 24 months.

For support to sponsor Catholic high school students to attend the Service Learning in Public Policy program. 15 Connelly scholars will be targeted to participate in this residential program exploring public policy & the role of the citizen.

To support the retransformation of the Connelly Library into a 21st Century art and design learning center to promote academic excellence and to be a destination for public programming and events.

For support towards the Grumblethorpe Elementary Education Program in the Germantown section of Philadelphia. The program is designed to provide educational activities and encourage the next generation of productive citizens.

To help fund a digital replication of the original Phoenixville Mural at its original location in Phoenixville's Historic Downtown Business District where a large # of people will be able to see the mural that visually interprets that community's history.

For support towards Arts Education Programs for at-risk inner city children and youth including after-school, in-school, summer & on-site workshops designed to stimulate academic pursuits and to strengthen Latino cultural identity & pride.

For support towards the Youth Arts Programs consisting of after school arts and education programming, summer arts, and nature program to help students advance their academic, social, and emotional development.

To support Camp Overbrook: In Sign 2018, a two week summer day camp that improves the quality of life for children who are deaf and hard of hearing by providing a religious, educational, & cultural camp for them that is fully accessible & in sign language

Capital support for the new Cntr for Social Impact, a future venue as well as a program for the education of the practical imaginations of their students. Part of the Lead the Way campaign, the building is under construction & scheduled to open Sep 2019.

To support the Refugee Services program in the Greater Delaware Valley that provides resettlement services to adults, families, and children who have been forcibly displaced from their homes.

For general operating support to continue providing free of charge education, training, case management and life skills to low-income, disadvantaged youth and adults to prepare them for work and self-sufficiency.

To provide a travel stipend to 50 students participating in the Medical Missions Initiative where they offer basic medical screening to children, adults, and seniors in other countries.

To support the Adult Education and Training Center that is designed to meet adult learners' needs and to help individuals achieve their goals of self-sufficiency and success.

For general operating support over 2 years that will be directed toward their three programs -- Emergency Family Shelter, Homeless Prevention, and Outreach to Homeless Families

For support towards the Second Chance Program at the Philadelphia Department of Prisons. Inmates learn new skills to help improve the prison environment and bring back to their communities job related, social and life skills.

For support towards the Holocaust Survivors Support Program for elderly Holocaust survivors. Programs and supportive services are provided to enable survivors to remain in their own homes.

To support the Adult Literacy and Lifelong Learning program that provides 1:1 tutoring, small group instruction, and digital literacy education.

To provide meal delivery Monday to Friday for needy, homebound seniors in Chester county, despite their economic circumstances.

Additional support towards the endowment for the Notre Dame Summer Scholars Program.

To support over 3 yrs the new Recovery Residence for sixty Philadelphians experiencing street homelessness, substance use disorders, and other physical and mental health disabilities

For support over 2 yrs (2017-18 & 2019-20) towards the education outreach program providing disabled students at Widener Memorial School & at-risk students at S. Philadelphia & Benjamin Franklin High Schools with actors/educators in a year-long residency.

For capital support toward the renovation of the front deck in order to improve the current hazardous condition and to better serve the residents.

To support "Planting Seeds: The Art & Science of Pollination" the 2017 - 2018 exhibit tour and Artmobile service to the Bucks County Archdiocesan Schools

For support for food distribution to food cupboards and agencies as well as healthy eating programs for the residents of Camden, including children and seniors.

For general operating support (over 2 years) to continue providing free air transportation to financially disadvantaged patients whose health care needs make it necessary to travel to distant medical centers for treatment.

To provide financial assistance for essential needs for families in greater Philadelphia (Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, all Philadelphia counties, and the city of Camden) caring for children with special healthcare needs.

Support over 2 yrs (2017/18 & 2018/19) for the College Connection program that serves low-income students in the 11th grade through college graduation.

For support towards the Archdiocesan School Artist-in-Residency program in Roman Catholic High School and Archbishop Ryan High School. The program is designed to increase the level of drawing skills and techniques of students who are studying visual arts.

For general operating support over 2 years (2017-18 and 2018-19) to continue providing programs and services such as health/wellness, education classes and social entertainment to older adults in West Chester and the surrounding areas.

For support over 2 years ($20,000 for 2017-2018 and $20,000 for 2018-2019 academic years) for educational outreach programs for approximately 130 students in Camden Catholic schools and 400 students in Archdiocesan Catholic parish schools annually.

For general operating support to help society's most vulnerable children so that they become educationally proficient, economically productive, and socially responsible members of their communities.

For general operating support specifically during the transition of leadership for this soup kitchen in Camden that serves persons of all ages in need.
